Konqueror in KDE 4.4 has HTML5 audio/video tag support. Anyone got it to work with Youtube? For me, it shows a little HTML5 logo, spins for half a second and then stops.

Maybe thats because of codecs? I can use html5 only with theora and only in FF in KDE 4.3...when I use (on my site) html5 tag with other codec, nothing hapens...Can you see this:

I can, with Konqueror 4.4 and KHTML I downloaded a Youtube mp4 and it played too, so it seems like the codecs are not the issue

Using Flash, I presume?

I have flashplayer and a kipiplugin for flash installed; I presume it was either or both of those.

We're talking about HTML5 video, not Flash: http://www.youtube.com/html5

http://html5test.com/ says that Konqueror supports HTML5 Video with and Theora.
Does Konqueror really supports H.264?? |

It uses Phonon for HTML5 video/audio tags, but it's a rather rudimentary implementation as of right now. I don't think it works fully at the moment.
I do know that video/audio tags will actually PLAY, though, but only if given the "autoplay" attribute by the website author. Controls for the media also display properly and work if the, "controls" attribute is given as well. It seems the problem with HTML5 audio/video in Konqueror, then, lies in script support.
