I am using Kopete 0.80.2 on KDE 4.3.4 (kubuntu karmic)

I want to have videoconference, as Yahoo protocol have that functionality I am trying with it but if someone knows another protocol that is included in Kopete with video capabilities (no Skype) I would be glad to give it a try.

My problem is that when I "request webcam" , I got the "No webcam image received" screen , when I "Invite to view my webcam" nothing happens.

I am using two computers next to the other so I can check that both connect correctly to yahoo, appear online, see each other, have each other contacts, the webcam are correctly configured (I can see them working on the Setting page).

I am completely clueless, I have compiled my own kopete also with the same results.
On a related question:
How can I make the KDEBUG statements to appear in the console?

Kopete currently doesn't have fully operational Video capabilities I believe.

You may need to use kdebugdialog to enable the needed debugging areas.
Make sure to check the output of CMake when you compiled Kopete to ensure you have everything needed installed ( devel packages )
