Hi All,
I use Kmail 1.9.9 under KDE 3.5.5. I wanted to set up the out of office function, but I could not do it.When I press the out of office button on tools it writes as "KMail's Out of Office Reply functionality relies on server-side filtering. You have not yet configured an IMAP server for this. You can do this on the "Filtering" tab of the IMAP account configuration." And that is the point I do not understand. If somebody knows the solution, please help me.. schi |

This out-of-office function is implemented by telling your mail server to send those mails for you. If you are out of the office actually it's likely that your mail client will not be running so someone else has to send that mails. So what needs to be done is that you have an IMAP server that will take care of that and that supports filtering actions to be executed on the server to set up those notifications properly.
KDE 3.5.5 is really ancient. If you for whatever reason need to stay at KDE3 you should at least upgrade to 3.5.10.
