I've mistakenly created a 'meta-contact' which grouped a bunch of my contacts into one; now I cannot access my contacts individually and I cannot seem to remove this meta-contact at all.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this, or where I would find the file to manually edit? Running Debian Sid, KDE 4.3.4.

There is nothing within the file at ~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc that seems to be related.

While I would really like this fixed (and hackery is fine), there needs to be a way to easily fix it as well for future users.

Do a rightclick on the meta-contact, at the bottom of the menu you see the contacts the meta-contact is made of. go there and choose "Change Meta Contact", select "create a new metacontact for this contact". OK. Done :-)

I've marked karoshi's post as problem solving. Please do this the next time by pressing the green hook at the problem solving post, lefty.crupps, thanks.

Will do. I am new here and that looks like a refresh button to me.

Oh, then you could maybe file a bug report at http://bugs.kde.org.
