Hi,

I use Kubuntu 9.10.
KDE 4.4.1 and Kopete 1.0.0.

I configured Kopete according to:
http://www.google.com/support/chat/b...n&answer=57557

Still I couldn't start using GTalk Audio Calls.

I was using Pidgin earlier. Now Pidgin freezes whenever I initiate a call.

So I couldn't use both Pidgin and Kopete for GTalk Audio.

Skype works perfectly for me.

Is there any jabber service or some other services that i need to run?

Please help.

No other services are needed I believe. It is quite possible that support for audio or video is not yet available in Kopete's Jabber implementation.

For Voice chat, Kopete needs mediastreamer which is not present in the kubuntu 9.10 repository. If you upgraded to latest one, you may get an another package called 'kopete-gcall' to make it work.

I installed libmediastreamer0 and restarted kopete but I don't see any option to voice/video chat. What am I missing?
