It appears Firefox is saving temporary files to a folder to which non-users do not have permission. Chrome doesn't do this. Is there any way to change the temporary folder in Firefox? I'm using Firefox 3.6.

Sounds like you have a bad symlink under ~/.mozilla or a corrupted configuration. Try moving that directory elsewhere. ( Don't remove it, unless you wish to lose all your extensions, bookmarks, etc )

Thanks. I'll try renaming the folder and see if firefox creates a new working one.
