As a workaround try to configure your DSL connection (in the terminal) with:
sudo pppoeconf The connection can be started with sudo pon dsl-provider and stopped with sudo poff dsl-provider |

Hello!
I did install Kubuntu 16.04. When tried to connect to my broadband I did use in terminal "sudo pppoeconf" and i got the result "pppoe: command not found". To my complete surprise I found out that "pppoe" package was missing. Tried to configure Internet access via networkmanager but I was unsuccessfull. I connect to the internet directly via cable (broadband via optical fibre) and I do not use a router. Usually I would type in terminal "sudo pppoeconf" and that triggered a text based gui where i would put my ISP credentials. Please help me to find and workaround. I find it silly that "pppoe" package is missing from Kubuntu 16.04, and I don't know if this is an Ubuntu thing or a KDE issue. In Ubuntu 16.04 "pppoe" package is present and functional. Thank you! |

Start a new thread an specify the exact problem you have, including your distribution and Plasma release version.
no, it is not an Android application
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
