Akregator configuration

Sat Jul 03, 2010 2:49 pm
I have a hideously expensive internet connection, and some feeds I monitor are very graphics intensive. Is there any way to turn automatic loading of images off (as in Konqueror)?

Akregator follows the settings specified in Konqueror.

It most certainly does NOT.

I have "Automatically load images" (Configure / Web Browsing /
Appearance) unchecked in Konqueror. It correctly does not load
images, but Akregator does.

As a side question, there used to be (KDE 3) a load images
button. I don't see that. How do I tell Konqueror to load the
images for a specific page?

It appears that whilst the backend supports the features needed, there is no configuration interface for the option.

Please run the following command to disable loading of images automatically in Akregator:

Code: Select all
kwriteconfig --file akregatorrc --group "HTML Settings" --key AutoLoadImages --type bool false
