I don't understand the error message

When I attempt to send an email (running Kmail) from my Gateway laptop (running MandrivaLinux 2009 - updated), I get the error message: "transport 'smtp.east.cox.net' is invalid".

I can't find anywhere in KMail that I have "smtp.east.cox.net" listed so I have not been able to change or correct it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jack

this would be in your kamil account configuration under the particular email account -> sending -> transport:smtp or such (don't have kmail installed)

do you use cox for sending email?
did you just do an upgrade or install?
did everything work fine the day before?

The path is Settings -> Configure KMail -> Accounts -> Sending tab - presumably you have cox.net set up there, so highlight it and edit as necessary. The exact settings should be provided by cox.net.
