Hi all,

Weird problem here: I use kget as download manager for firefox+flashgot, and recently kget has been acting strangely. When I open the kget main window, the list of downloads shows no information other than the green triangle indicating that there is a download there. Difficult to explain so I'll show you a screenshot:

The same problem occurs when flashgot isn't involved, when I start the download directly from File->New Download, the same thing happens. Any idea what's going on here? I run kget 2.4.2 on kde 4.4.2, on kubuntu 10.4.

First thing is to determine if its a bad config/app file
by:

1) trying kget as a different user
or
2) rename (or delete) your kget files
file: ~/.kde4/share/config/kgetrc
directory: ~/.kde4/share/apps/kget

Yup. That's it. Different user didn't show the problem. Removing the config files solved it. They were in .kde though, not in .kde4. Thanks.

Btw. IIRC the problem could also be solved be resizing the Speed column.
