KGet and Blocklists

Mon Sep 13, 2010 12:01 pm
Hi all,

Maybe I'm just blind... But how can I use a blocklist to prevent connections from bad peers in Kget?

Thanks.

"bad peers" - you mean when dl'ing torrents? Like a PeerGuarian plugin? If so, don't think you can as Kget isn't a full featured torrent app - you'd need to use ktorrent.

Yes, that is what I mean. After fiddling around with it I can see that it is lacking quite a few features present in most torrent clients. I was hoping to use the default KDE apps as much as possible.

Thanks for your quick response.

[edit] There seems to be an API for blocklists. Could this be easier to implement than expected?
