I am running Suse 11.2 (Linux Pro Magazine DVD load) on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, which has a built-in webcam.

Kopete is able to see and control the cam in the configuration (damn, am I THAT uuuuugly???), but when I am in YM (all I use Kopete for), there is no video function -- I try to send an invite and nobody sees it, the blue light indicating hot cam doesn't come on, and there is no indication that anything has happened.

I am not a Linux expert, just a refugee from the Windows plantation, but I think I was able to get Jasper loaded (or there would be no Kopete / cam connection at all, right?).

I would sure like someone to backroom this for me, so that I'm able to get the cam video onto YM for friends and family.
