I'm using kde since 1 year ago. Probably im a linux user because KDE existence, but i have to be honest, i'm a little tired of the constant same errors.

I just dont understand why Knetwork Manager dont Like 3g modems.

I have a dell mini 9 with 3g modem.. ok works fine... but huawei e220(lot of people have this one) and recently i bought a zte k3805 don't...the knetwork manager recognize the both modems, the configurations are fine(the same i tested with other internal modem)... but the knm dont connect...

So manny different updates/upgrades of kde and no solution? Hope my voice can be heard... i hope next version don't have to use the wvdial to connect to the internet.. KDE is in the top of beauty.. in that area KDE Wins! but in functionality and stability don't, and still don't understand the announcements in every version of kde that will be more stable when that isn't true. All people can compare version 4.4.4 (good version) to 4.5.1 version (no words..unusable for me)

Sorry if 80% of this text is off the topic, but is my first post and i really like kde and i don't want to change...just want kde get better!

Are you able to test these modems on a system which does not have an internal 3G wireless card? It may not be able to handle multiple modems properly.

yes, i already test it without success...
A few months ago i test the modem in gnome, and it worked with gnome network manager... i'm telling this because someone told me the knetwork manager is the "same" as gnome network manager.

I see. I suggest you file a bug report at bugs.kde.org. Please include the full model numbers for the modems you have issues with, as from lspci / lsusb.
