Hi all,

I am having a weird problem with kopete (1.0.80 on kde 4.5.2, kubuntu 10.10), which appears not to be able to connect to gtalk anymore. The error message is

Unknown signature value: 795

The interesting thing is that this happens only when I am connected through my umts modem. With a normal ethernet connection it works fine.
I should say that this is really a kopete problem, not a network one. On the same umts connection, I can activate the chat without problems e.g. from the gmail web page.

Does any of you have any idea/suggestion?

Have you tried with another Jabber client? Your UMTS provider may be blocking non-HTTP traffic ( the GMail web page uses HTTP ) Another Qt based client is Psi.

thanks for suggesting this! My modem is indeed connected to a router, which is blocking jabber's ports.
