A new job, a new desktop, Kubuntu 10.0.4 with KDE 4.2.2. But Kopete isn't raising its window to the top when a new message comes in. I checked Settings / Configure / Behavior / Events / Raise Window on Incoming Events Checked, but if any other window is covering Kopete then I have to go digging for the window when a new message comes in on a conversation.
Any suggestions on how I can fix that would be hugely helpful. |

What are you focus stealing protection settings? Have you tried overriding these settings in the kopete window?

I haven't touched the defaults, under System Settings / Window Behavior / Window Specific it's got one entry: "Disable focus stealing prevention for XV"), that's for Window class "^xv.*", and in the Workarounds tab under that it has "Focus stealing prevention" checked and "Force" selected.
Does that mean anything to you? Or are you asking about something else? |

Anybody got any ideas? Or should I just switch to Pidgin?

On the Kopete window you wish to affect, right click on the Window decoration > Advanced Settings > Special Application Settings. The Force the Focus Stealing Prevention to Off on the Workarounds tab.
