I have used krdc to connect to a large number of Windows XP computers with great success and reasonable speed.
But when I connect to a Windows 7 computer the mouse pointer has a PAINFULLY slow response. I move my mouse and it might be up to 10 seconds later that the pointer on the screen moves. It makes it almost unworkable. Yet I can connect with a Windows XP Remote Desktop client to the same computer with great response. Is there some way to configure krdc to respond better? Or is this a bug? P.S. the Win XP client is actually running on a Virtual Box run of XP on the same Linux box that krdc is having the problems with. So it is definitely not the network connection. |

Are you using RDP or VNC? In my experiences with TightVNC, the cursor does not lag.
krdc uses rdesktop to perform RDP access I believe.

I found a solution - change the Windows 7 Mouse Pointer scheme to None the response improves drastically.
