I can't connect with KDE NetworkManagment to my university wi-fi. It's an eduroam network with hidden SSID. I type the SSID in the Hidden Network, the wi-fi is detected, I insert the username and password and the state changes to 'Configuring the adapter', but then asks me for the secrets again, I confirm it and the states changes to 'Configuring the adapter', always doing this.

This is the everything.log:

This is my wi-fi card:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02)

I'm using the iwl driver and ArchLinux.

According to NetworkManager, it took too long to associate:

Nov 5 16:57:06 localhost NetworkManager[1953]: <warn> Activation (wlan0/wireless): association took too long.

Not sure why this happens, but I suspect it also occurs with nm-applet. I suggest looking at Wicd in the meantime.

I really need to use networkmanagment, Wicd doesn't fit my requirements.

If you try with GNOME's nm-applet does it work? This is a bug with either wpa_supplicant or NetworkManager ( a low level system stack ) if it also does not work.

Yes it works just fine with Gnome's applet. :\

It seems that is a bug with KDE Networkmanagement.

There is a bug unresolved from the last year: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=252668

Is there any way to resolve this? If is a bug with the frontend it should be easy to fix, isn't it?

Please try the instructions in the other thread ( namely, regarding the instruction to leave Anonymous blank )

I've tried both ways, with anonymous and without. Neither of them have worked.

In another instruction manual from the university they say to put in your username. I've also tried that, and I've tried putting in my username @students.uni-marburg.de (the domain of my username). Also a no-go.

Ok, WPA-Enterprise may not be supported fully by the KDE client at this time. Please follow the bug report for further information.
