In want to install the webkit kpart on my Slackware installation with KDE 4.5.1. Where is the source code available, and how do I install/ enable it? Thanks!

The source code can be found here: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/extragear/base/kwebkitpart/
It can be checked out and built from svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/ex ... ebkitpart/

Got it downloaded... would somebody talk me through building this thing?

Never mind, got it figured. Doesn't matter much anyway, it's still uber-buggy.

Which version of Qt are you using?

Nobody has built a QT4.7 package for Slackware yet. I'm trying to make up my mind whether I should build it myself or just put up with Firefox for a few more months.

Just one thing... making kwebkit the default requires the use of the terminal. No prob for me, but I can see where it would be a showstopper for some (a lot) of people. Are there plans to do something about this, or should I file a feature request?

You can change the default in the file association systemsettings module. For text->html->embedding move "WebKit (kwebkit part)" to the top of the list.
