Problem to compile konq-plugins

Sun Nov 14, 2010 3:13 pm
Hello all :D

I want compile the latest revision (1196352) of konq-plugins.

But I get this error:

Code: Select all
[ 76%] Built target searchbarplugin_automoc
Scanning dependencies of target searchbarplugin
[ 78%] Building CXX object searchbar/CMakeFiles/searchbarplugin.dir/searchbarplugin_automoc.o
[ 79%] Building CXX object searchbar/CMakeFiles/searchbarplugin.dir/searchbar.o
/home/zuargo/Paquetes/konq-plugins/src/konq-plugins/searchbar/searchbar.cpp:29:32: fatal error: KParts/TextExtension: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [searchbar/CMakeFiles/searchbarplugin.dir/searchbar.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [searchbar/CMakeFiles/searchbarplugin.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

I downloaded konq-plugins using subversion:

Code: Select all
$ svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/extragear/base/konq-plugins

And I am using this options in the building:

Code: Select all
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debugfull \
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr

I have installed gcc 4.5.1 and KDE/Konqueror 4.5.3

Can anybody help me wiht this please? ^-^

Is this the trunk version? I seem to recall someone saying they developed a universal find bar for KDE 4.6. If this is the trunk version of the plugins you may be missing that.

However, first check to make sure you have installed the devel packages related to:

kdelibs
kdebase
konqueror

I guess this is the trunk version becouse here:

Code: Select all
svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/extragear/base/konq-plugins

you can read trunk. Is that what you mean?

I have installed all devel packages related.

although thinking it well, what devel packages, must I install of kdebase?, I have installed these packages of kdebase:

kdebase-workspace
kdebase-runtime
kdebase-lib
kdebase-plasma
kdebase-kwrite
kdebase-konsole
kdebase-konqueror
kdebase-kfind
kdebase-kdialog
kdebase-kdepasswd
kdebase-dolphin
kdebase-lib

KParts/TextExtension is only part of KDELibs Trunk at this time, so Extragear Konq-Plugins currently depends upon KDELibs trunk.

Is there any way to disable KParts/TextExtension in the compilation?

You could try disabling the dependent extension by commenting the add_subdirectory() line referring to it in the folder(s) above it.
