The situation has been like that for several weeks now, and I notice that on several computers.

It is not possible to connect to windows live messenger servers, without doing any change in the Kopete config, however Gtalk login still works.

Anyone knows how to fix that?

This is likely a regression caused by changes on the Microsoft servers which provide .Net messenger ( now Live Messenger I believe ). I suggest you install the latest libmsn ( which is what provides Kopete with this functionality )

Solved after the monthly update of the whole system, don't know what the the problem was.

I use this msn for linux . It worked for me
