Hallo,

I'm using Konqueror quite a while now as a file manager and the return-key and the left mouse click behave different, which is bad.
If I have a tar archive the return-key will open it in the external application Ark (which I want) and the left mouse click opens the archive in a new konqueror tab. If I open one of my compiled programs the return key opens a "open with" dialog while the left mouse click starts the program (which I want).
There are problems with others too.

I searched for solutions, but couldn't find anything. So maybe someone can point in the right direction.

I can confirm the behaviour you mention with *.tar files. This is interesting, because I haven't ticked "open archives as folder" in Konqueror settings. Please file a bug at bugs.kde.org.

I just discovered, that *.tar.gz and some other *.tar entries in the file association list in konqueror don't allow the "use settings from 'application' group". If I set them to "show file in seperate viewer" they open in ark with both left click and return-key.
