windows>xming>applications on *nix>xming>windows

i use mixed apps on windows, a lot of them exported from *nix, some are art or office programs that have a lead over windows apps... for my purposes. two things i'd like, that don't work, is playing music on amarok, but having the front end display on windows, or use windows amarok to control the player engine on *nix, and to have the app icons show up in kicker, they show up as separate, tiny, hidden(movable though) windows.

since they work perfectly(as well as they can) when run local, and the applications are local, just remote controlled, is there some kind of setting to make it work, when the applications are exported? like 'hey stupid, yer being remote controlled, use the local engine'.
