dl it here http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashpl ... quare.html

don't know Arch but on my system it goes into /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/ so you would unpack it after dl'ing and then move it. Might have to "scan for plugins" in Konqueror settings after installing it

I have been trying to follow your instructions regarding firefox, but I couldn't set it right. I've downloaded the 64-bit adobe-flash, extracted it and move the only file with a .so extension to /usr/lib64/firefox-3.6.13/plugins but it was to no avail.
Any other suggestions? What should I do more?

Thanks

vinci - try putting it in /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.so then restarting FF

It was my mistake that I hadn't mentioned the fact that I use a 64-bit Slackware 13.1, so I don't have a folder named 'browser-plugins' under the /usr/lib64/ directory :)

what if you create the directory /usr/lib64/browser-plugins ?

this is what Mozilla says:

"Flash Player 10.0 (x86_64 Alpha)
Version: 10.0 Alpha
SeaMonkey 1.1, Firefox 3.0: Alpha Software
FAQ: Flash Player FAQ
More Information: Release Notes
A pre-release version of Flash Player 10.0 for x86_64 is now available from Adobe Labs. To install it, copy libflashplayer.so to your 64 bit browser plugins directory (such as /usr/lib64/browser-plugins/). Note that this is alpha quality software, and is likely to have bugs. Reading the Release Notes is advised.

Important! If you are using nspluginwrapper, be sure to remove any npwrapper.libflashplayer.so files that may be present on your system, as these are likely to conflict with the 64 bit plugin."

also see for a Slackwar specific solution: http://alien.slackbook.org/blog/new-ado ... for-linux/

Thanks a lot! The Slackware 'specific solution' worked. That package did the trick. It didn't create a /lib64/browser-plugin/ directory, but it seems that it created the proper files in /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/ and in /usr/lib64/firefox-3.6.13/plugins/ :) (i searched afterwards)
I didn't hold much hope for the 64-bit flashplayer, but it does seem to be working :)
