Hello there,
I was using gnome for a while; but when 4.6 came out, I decided to use the backports ppa to give it a try. And well, I like it. Besides: * I setup my home WLAN as auto-connect; but still, every time I login after reboot, i have to provide my password two times ... once for login; and then again to allow the KDE daemon to open the kde wallet. Is there a setting to avoid this? And why is the "system connection" checkbox grayed out? * Sometimes logout doesnt really work; or something crashes; so I have to login again to start a new session. In this case, there is no second dialog asking for the password ... but on the other hand, my WLAN connection will NOT go active. Stopping wireless doesnt help; I have to reboot in order to get online again?! Any hints are welcome, |

If it is only the password for the networkmanager you can save that without using kwallet. Right click the networkmanager plasmoid -> Einstellungen für Netzwerkverwaltung -> Sonstiges -> Verbindungspasswörter speichern: In Datei (unverschlüsselt). The other option is to set up a local wallet in kwallet without password and store passwords you consider less important in there. |

With regards to the failed logout, you probably still have "kded4" processes from the old session hanging around. You can use System Activity / KSysGuard, accessible from KRunner, to kill these instances then run "kded4" again.
