Hi all you mint boffs out there, hope you can help me solve this problem.
I have a huwawei mobile broadband modem E1550,and when i connect it, it is detected and everything. I click on the network icon and go to configure mobile broadband and put all the details for the connection in, then save. Now when i want to connect, i click the connection to connect and then the modem and connection just dissapear and then the modem is redetected. Does anyone know how to sort this out? Have used this modem before in kde 4.4.5, but in 4.6 the network manager seems to be broken for 3g mobile modems. Is this a bug?? |

1) wonder if it would help if you removed all the knetwork*rc files and *network* directories in ~/.kde4/share/config and ~/.kde4/share/apps maybe the old config files don't work with 4.6 or didn't get properly reconfigured when updating
2) basically same as 1 but create a new user and as that user does it work 3) since Mint is varient of *buntu's I looked and found similar threads that might help http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1336310 - the suggestions were to 1) use Gnome net manager or 2) run Sakis3G since it ran in 4.4.5 you should consider placing a bug report |
