Hello fellas.

I'm reposting issue from Sabayon Linux forum. Since knetworkmanager has been updated to 4.4.0_p20110204 version, I can't force it to connect automaticly with my home hotspot. It takes at least 2 manual approaches to do it properly.
Every option is set just fine. I've tried to reinstall applet but with no success.
Also I am using networkmanager-0.8.2

Any ideas?

I also use NetworkManager 0.8.x, although on openSUSE with a trunk compiled from source KNetworkManager and I have never experienced problems with automatic connection.

Try recreating your connection using System Settings > Network Settings > Network Connections. Ensure you set the "Connect automatically" preference for each network.

Well, I've just done it and same thing happened. After deleting my wireless connection, creating new one with "Connect automatically" option set and pressed "Apply" button, system has showed me dialog window for enter authentication password (odd?).

After pressed "OK", KNetworkManager didn't connect to router ("working" tray icon with key symbol on it was forever). I had to click one more time on my fresh WiFi connection in the applet, then press "OK" in authenticating window for clear connect.

Honestly, I don't have any idea whats wrong.

Hey, I have resolved this issue using this forum topic:
http://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=23356&p=131240#p131240

In my case it worked only with kwallet management. Anyway I'm happy. Thanks for interest.
Cheers
