I'm trying to use rekonq with the ruby based web app called tracks.

http://my.gtdify.com
http://getontracks.org/

There seems to be problems with the automatic updating of tasks and such. When you enter in a new todo task the page doesn't update. Once you do a refresh the task is there, although sometimes the task will be duplicated or sometimes not updated at all.

This behaviour isn't seen on firefox for windows and on the maemo browser on my phone (based off of firefox I believe). Presumably this isn't seen on safari for mac (what the developer uses).

Anyone have any ideas? Should I submit a bug report?

can you check other browsers on Linux to ensure it is a Rekonq problem and not something Linux related

In particular, I suggest checking Konqueror, with both the KHTML and Webkit backends, as well as a Qt-only webkit browser such as Arora, and a non-Qt Webkit based browser such as Chromium.

Ok, I'll test it with a few other browsers when I have time (this weekend?).

OK, I tested this with firefox 4.0 and arora 0.10.2 with no problems from either. Everything is running on kubuntu with KDE 4.5.1. Rekonq is version 0.6.1.

I just noticed there was an update to kubuntu a couple days ago (and a new version of KDE apparently). I'll try updating then trying again.

Yeah it's still broken (although the new KDE is pretty sweet).

Should I submit a bug report?

Please file a bug report against Rekonq. It probably has it's bugs tracked at bugs.kde.org.

have you tried it with the latest git checkout?
Code: Select all
git clone kde:rekonq

To use the kde-prefix you have to set it up like this
