Hello all!
I am using kmail 1.13.5 and now i have this problem. Everytime i want to check the mail in one of my pop mail account i got this "preparing transmission form xx" and kmail stays on this status like forever and fails to get any mails.
I have many mails in the inbox of this mail account and in fact kmail works well in another pop mail account with less mails in its inbox. This mail account with problem is provided by the Exchange from M$. And i also tried thounderbird with this mail account and it works well too.
WHAT'S WRONG?

Have you tried exiting KMail, logging out, logging back in, then checking for kio_pop3, kio_imap4, kio_smtp, etc processes? If you find any (excluding kio_http, kio_file) then kill them and try again.

I followed my advice and when I logged back in, I did not find any of these processes.
however, I set the pop server option "leave fetched messages on the server" and my problem solved temporarily.
Kind of strange
