Hi everybody,

I'm having some problems to configure my proxy on all my KDE distros. I have to connect to a proxy which has an address like that: "proxy.myproxy.com" but NOT "http://proxy.myproxy.com".

The problem is that KDE adds automatically the "http://" prefix at the beginning.

I already tried to configure directly the HTTP_PROXY variable, but it also failed.

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this ? I guess I'm not the only one having this problem.

Thank's in advance.

(not sure but) try editing the file ~/.kde/share/config/kioslaverc and removing the "http://" there

also, please file a bug report on bugs.kde.org
