Topic pretty much says it all. I'm using it for msn, gtalk and skype. This is what happens:
(16.22.50) # You are now marked as Offline. (16.22.54) # You are now marked as Invisible. (16.22.54) # You are now marked as Offline. (16.22.55) # You are now marked as Invisible. (16.24.50) # You are now marked as Offline. (16.24.54) # You are now marked as Invisible. (16.24.54) # You are now marked as Offline. (16.24.55) # You are now marked as Invisible. If I set status to online, it will probably bounce back between offline/invisible again. (somehow this doesn't seem to always be the case) Sometimes I can go rather long periods (well, over 10-20min at least) without this happening. It does not seem to be related to my wifi signal strength. When it happens, the bottom right icon where I can see my profile gets accompanied by another icon which I've never been able to see what it is since it's only there for a second or so. Any takers? |

Does Kopete give any messages when this disconnection occurs? On my system at least I get messages indicating a "unrecoverable connection error". I am using Jabber in this case, with kdetalk.net.

Sometimes I get a notification, I think it says something like that. And it's always about Jabber (which I use for google talk), but msn and skype logs off/on simultaneously. If you have this problem too, I suppose you don't have a solution for it? I might try simply not using Jabber then.. for a while at least. |

I usually only see those errors when there is a network connectivity problem between me and the Jabber server. Never when the connection works fine.

And all the other protocols loggs off/on/off/on for you as well? I'm having an awful lot of connectivity problem between me and the Jabber server in that case.. And that would clearly be a quite bad bug anyhow which should have gotten more attention I'd think. |

I only use Jabber in Kopete, with a single account. My experience with it is fine...
