Sripting Konversation

Sun Jun 12, 2011 1:40 am
Hello, I read http://konversation.kde.org/wiki/Scripting_Guide and wish to know a little more about the scripting possibilities of Konversation with the python language.

What I wish to do is to get the idle time of all people that are in a specific channel.

In Konversation, I would do /exec ping_nicks

My script ping_nicks would then receieve all the nicks on the channel, and ask Konversation to do a whois for every nick and retrieve the result. It then would parse the results and search for the "idle time" part and print that.

Any advice on how to do this ? pointers to some interresting docs ? thanks !
