I am running Ubuntu 11.04.
I installed kde desktop full in synaptic package manager.
I installed wicd kde client.
I open wicd client.
It seems to see wireless card.
When in the wicd there are no wireless network available.
I will get a screenshot in a sec to post here to show you what I see.

Nevermind guys.
I am having too many damn issues with kde.
I've tried kde in the past and just like then it failed.
I'm going back to gnome.
KDE sucks. End of story.

Wicd is not a product of the KDE Community, so the KDE interface to it may not be feature complete.
In any case, you have failed to mention the other breakages which KDE apparently has (I haven't noticed any...)
