Hello,
I recently switched from Pidgin to Kopete and here is my problem ![]() I do not use KWallet, so everytime I start Kopete, I enter my passwords manually. It sometimes happens, that I make a typo (I'm learning to type with 10 fingers ![]() Any help appreciated, thanks in advance! |

I'm afraid as things stand, kopete is virtually unmaintained and is slated to be replaced by integrating it into the desktop through a project called telepathy.
So, I don't see too many options for you, unfortunately. You can use kwallet to store the passwords and it works fine (I do this). Or you can use pidgin or other IM clients that are less buggy, but also somewhat less integrated into kde. Man, that telepathy stuff can't come soon enough. If you're interested in following progress on telepathy, the official page makes for a good read, especially the FAQ section. You can also check out this and this for two of the developers' blogs I could find.
