Cannot set up OpenVPN with network management app

I can connect to our LAN with OpenVPN if I run "openvpn --config ...", but so far I've been unable to use the KDE network management app to configure and start the same connection. There seems to be a field missing in the GUI. The OpenVPN config file has -

Code: Select all
tls-remote gateway.example.net

- but there's nowhere to enter this host name in the GUI.
I'm running KDE 4.6.2 as packaged with Kubuntu 11.04.

Any suggestions?

Do you see any indication as to why the VPN connection is failing in /var/log/NetworkManager or other equivalent distribution log file?
