Hey everybody!
So ownCloud (http://owncloud.org), the KDE open-source cloud storage solution, seem to be progressing steadily, and I'd like to start using it - but I don't have any server of my own, and I couldn't find a single shared hosting service suitable for running ownCloud. Does anybody know about such a service? While looking around on the web, I basically found two different types of affordable hosting services:
So, running ownCloud isn't possible with any of them... If anybody knows of affordable hosting services that don't follow these rigid restrictions, please share your knowledge... |

Its not a "hosting service", but you can rent a vserver.
Of course this means you own a server and are responsible for updates, security and backup. Also configuration might be slightly more difficult. Vserver with 20-30 gb are readily available between 5 to 10 Euro per month. |
