Konqueror and Ubuntu launcher bar

Wed Nov 16, 2011 7:48 pm
Is it possible to keep the Konqueror icon on the Ubuntu launcher bar? I've added it there and click the "Keep In Launcher" tic, but when I restart, the icon is gone. I can add it again, but it never stays. What's up with that?

what's the "Ubuntu launcher bar"? If it's a Unity thing you really should post in the Ubuntu forum

True, it may be a "unity" thing, but I suppose what I'm really trying to get to is this ... when I plug a USB drive into a port, a window pops up telling me that "This is not a CVS folder ... you can switch view modes in Konqueror."

Well, I have installed Konqueror, have looked at the View Modes, and cannot see where to change anything to eliminate that CVS folder pop-up. Is there any way to configure Konqueror to be the default file manager?

Again, maybe I'm in the wrong forum, but I thought that maybe a Konqueror question could be answered here? I'll post also in the Ubuntu forum.

Thanks. That's a help, but the new version appears to be quite different. Still can't get rid of cervisia.

if you don't use Cervisa uninstall the package

"but the new version appears to be quite different" - you are referring to?

Uninstall it? That was easy enough. I never thought of that. I guess I'm accustomed to the Windoz more tightly integrated OS which makes it difficult to simply delete some apparently major portion of the app without really causing problems somewhere else.

Thanks!!
