i did a fresh install of opensuse 12.1
so i use kde 4.7.2

java don't seem to work in konqueror (work fine in firefox)

java path is
/usr/java/jdk1.7.0_01/jre/bin/java

so i put this value in the right area... java continue to don't work

about:plugins said java is installed

are you sure /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_01/jre/bin/java is the correct path? what is result of file /usr/java/jdk1.7.0_01/jre/bin/java

As I understand this, jdk1.7.0_01/jre is Oracle's latest JRE and it is not OpenJDK.

In command line:

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_23"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11pre) (6b23~pre11-0ubuntu1.11.10)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode)

i removed rpm installed from oracle web site... and took one found on
http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... tory/i586/
