I play league of legends, its the only reason i still have windows installed.
I looked up a guide to use the pvp.net service without actually being logged into the game, to talk to real-life friends and whatnot. It works great on Empathy and Pidgin, but i just cant get it to work on Kopete. I get a connection refused error. I know (i think) i have everything setup right because, as stated before it works on empathy. heres details that i know work on empathy, but not on kopete.

account: dwc1
password: AIR_123qwe (need to put 'AIR_' before password to login)
domain: pvp.net
server: chat.na1.lol.riotgames.com
port: 5223
use ssl, plaintext, ignore errors (option on empathy only)

Any help is appreciated.

Jabber accounts in Kopete can display the XML console. It would be helpful if you could try to turn it on when trying to log in and paste its output (be sure to remove passwords, if they are present) so that the problem can be better diagnosed.
