Open the .atom urls in akregator

Sun Jan 01, 2012 7:07 am
Happy new year

When i click on a url .atom in konqueror, there are multiple suggestions to open the url but no one to insert it in akregator.

Example: http://linuxfr.org/nodes/87188/comments.atom

Is there any setting to do to change this behaviour?

The best way to do this would be to associate the mimetype "application/atom+xml" to Akregator, as well as the "*.atom" file extension. You can do this in System Settings.

I open a bug report because it does nt import the rss flux, it only opens akregator without performing any action

Finaly it is valid the bug because the insert link is:

file:///var/tmp/kdecache-dglent/krun/19516.0.comments.atom

instead of

http://linuxfr.org/nodes/90304/comments.atom

for this reason i dont get updates of the feed

Please add mention of that to the bug report - it seems that KDE is convinced that Akregator does not support urls being passed to it so the fix could be fairly simple.

Open the File Associations panel > Find the application/atom+xml association > Select Akregator, press Edit > Application. Check the command, if it is just "akregator" change it to "akregator %u" then save. If it has "%f" instead, change that to "%u".
