Hi,
We have here an IPV6 Network. For communication we only use Avahi. So i enter other Domains in "Systemsettings --> Networksettings --> Search Service". Then i go Dolphin Network and look for Computers in the network. But it does not work. I only see computers in the Masterdomain. For example: local But when i search with "avahi-browse -d domain -a" I can see. What's going wrong? Greetings boospy

Have you configured your local Avahi server to use the same advertised domain?

Yes, it use the same Domain. I see all other systems in the network with the same Domain, only with the other Domain i can't see in KDE. But i can ping, and see this systems with "avahi-browse -d ohter.domain -a"
I have set this second domain in KDE search services and in /etc/mdns.allow. Greetings boospy

It appears that the System Settings interface you have used is not targeted at Avahi - but another service such as SSDP.
However - it is most certainly possible to do what you want to do. Edit ~/.config/avahi/browse-domains (creating the paths and file if needed) and add the domains you need, using a newline to seperate each domain. Then logout and back into KDE. (I haven't tested this - this is based upon what I can tell from reading the code)

Whilst I am not aware of what minissdpd does, I do not believe it is part of the KDE Workspace.
Did you ensure the "cagibid" was restarted after making the ~/.config change?

Ok, I am not sure why this has not worked. I would verify that you have entered the correct domains into the ~/.config file I mentioned - and that your user has permission to view that file.

Okay, I have no idea then why it does not work. I would recommend checking the code itself to see if there are reasons why it is not entering this code path - or contacting the maintainer of this code.
