My university uses Citrix to remotely access its servers. I usually go to a webpage, log in, and click on link that launches the Citrix Receiver. That works fine from Firefox and Opera, but not from Reqonk. Both in Firefox and Opera, I can configure the browser to open the x-ica application files with the npica.so plugin from Citrix, so they laungh the Receiver right away. However, I cannot do that with Rekonq. If I try to modify the 'file associations' in KDE's system configuration, I cannot set x-ica to be opened by the plugin npica.so (I get an error message that this is not a valid name for an application). Is there any way to get around this, or do I need to stick with Firefox if I want this to work?
Thanks! |

I don't have Rekonq compiled here unfortunately - but it uses quite a lot of Konqueror's shared infrastructure, so if you open Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > Web Browsing > Plugins > Plugins - then hit "Scan For Plugins" it should hopefully pick up the Citrix plugin - at which point it should work in Rekonq after restarting it.
You might want to try it in Konqueror first however. This is relying on the Citrix plugin correctly registering the mimetype it is responsible for however.

Thanks, Ben! Once I installed the webkit kpart this worked for Konqueror, and it now works for Rekonq. I appreciate your help!
