Xubuntu 11.10 ( I can't upgrade yet )
Kubuntu Desktop 11.10 KDE 4.74 k9copy 2.3.7 I'm trying to use k9copy to write to an *.avi and it crashes shortly after I start the process. The backtrace is quoted below. I have the medibuntu package installed with a collection of codecs. I have the libdvdcss2. Other DVD copying programs have complained there is not enough work space for them to operate. My hard drive is only 40 GB ( df -H output quoted below ), so I set my output directory to be a symlink to an external hard drive ( 1 terabyte ) Any help getting k9copy funcitoning would be valuable to me, thanks much in advance Steve Backtrace:
fdisk -l output:

k9copy appears to be running out of memory, or is otherwise experiencing memory corruption problems.
