DVD does not play

Wed Jun 20, 2012 5:28 pm
New to Dragon player but maybe i am doing something wrong.

After inserting the DVD I want to play an options box comes up and I click on the Play DVD with Dragon Player
Dragon player opens and nothing happens. I click on "play" and nothing happens. If I use the space bar I can see the play button change to a pause button but then it goes right back to a play button.

Do I have to mount the DVD in some special way?

Running Debian with KDE desktop and all updates are installed.

Could you please specify which exact versions of Dragonplayer, Phonon, your phonon backend and KDE you use?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Also, can you indicate if your system has multiple optical drives available? If so, have you tried changing the drive you are using to play the DVD?
