GUI to Apply Dynamic Range Compression

I used this app a ton in windows to apply dynamic range compression ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_ ... ompression) to AC3 audio extracted from mk or avi files. Can any one recommend a similar program, preferably Qt/KDE based but a GNOME/GTK+ UI will suffice. I believe Audacity is capable but did not care much for the GUI.

not familiar with this kind of app but you should look at Rosegarden, Ardor, Sweep and Qtractor as they are similar to Audacity
