After upgrading to 8.10 ;-) I get the following error when I start-up

'KDEInit could not launch '/usr/share/screenlets-manager/screenlets-daemon.py'.'

I have removed all known packages with Adept such as Google Widgets, screenlets etc. What did I miss and how can I get it all removed :-S

Have you checked in ~/.kde/Autostart ( or ~/.kde4/Autostart )
Try checking /etc/xdg/autostart as well.

I would also recommend filing a bug with Ubuntu. they should not have any files outside the package it belongs to, otherwise there wouldn't be a point for packages.

That file belongs to the screenlets package. This is either a problem with a crufty autostart entry or a pice of software you installed without using packages, and I'm leaning towards the autostart thing.

You Guy's were right.

Found ~/.kde/Autostart and removed 2 entries.
Restarted = No Problem
Thanks a heap.:-)
