Frozen Audacity - can't save work

Tue Mar 19, 2013 10:57 am
After several successful recordings from tapes, I tried this morning to append the second side of a tape. Audacity appears to have frozen. It is using 26% cpu, constantly. All the Save options are greyed out. I know I could kill it and start again, but since I appear to have no control over the output volume while it is recording, and it is *very* loud, I'm anxious to avoid it if possible. Any ideas?

Attatch the pid to gdb and see if you can get a backtrace?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
