cheese: webcam works but shooting photos produce black pictu

on my PC=Dell latitude E6510, RAM=8Gb, GPU=GT218 NVS 3100M, CPU=i7 Q 720 @ 1.60GHz, OS=opensuse 13.1 KDE= 4.13.3

with cheese webcam application, my webcam works, I can see my face, but shooting photos produce a black picture, how to have webcam application working??

Since you ask in the KDE forum: how about using an actual KDE application for that? You should try Kamoso, works quite fine for me, using the built-in webcam of a Lenovo X220


Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
