Whenever I try to play a video it comes back pixelated. I am using KDE Development Platform: 4.14.1 and Dragon Player: 2.0. Now, I think this may be a problem on my end since other players (e.g. vlc, mplayer) also show the video pixelated. However, I do not think it is the file since I can use opencv in python to play the video and it plays correctly. Here are two screenshots comparing what I mean

It seems that on VLC the solution is to turn off accelerated video output. Tools > Preferences > Video > uncheck the box > Save. In mplayer, passing the option "--vo=x11" also takes care of the pixelation. The problem remains in dragon, but I think I can get by with vlc and mplayer.
