KDE5 on screen volume icon...other selections?

I want to inquire if the current KDE5 on screen volume icon could be changed? KDE4 has a horizontal layout vs the square layout of KDE5. If possible I would like to change to a KDE4 format. Here is a photo of the KDE5 volume icon:

Sadly not that I know of, but that should be made configurable, right now it is intrusive and far too big.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
