More often than not,
if my volume is in, say, 40%, and I place the mouse cursor over
kmix or amarok or clementine
and either scroll the mouse wheel up or down,
the volume jumps to 100% (or somewhere near - I can't tell exactly because I have to turn it down before even looking).
I am on the verge of divorce, and my children are starting to make serious threats to my computer.

Is there any way I can figure out the root of the problem?

EDIT:
I resintalled my system and found the widget in the systray that does not seem to have that bug.
